1月3日下午3时，川外学坛“2012年度总结茶话会暨川外学坛第二届学生组织换届选举会”在博文楼六楼报告厅召开。研究生部主任王仁强教授、副主任胡安江教授，外国语文研究中心主任杨全红教授、侯国金教授、陈丽萍教授，中外文化比较研究中心晏红博士、姜小卫博士，国际关系学院副院长刘玉梅教授、翻译学院李龙泉教授、国际教育学院刘宇博士以及川外学坛负责人姜孟教授等应邀参加，川外学坛全体学生干事及部分研究生也参加了此次茶话会。
茶话会对过去一年的工作进行了总结，对优秀学生干事进行了表彰，对来年的工作做出了规划。此外，茶话会还选举产生了川外学坛新一届学生组织，2011级语言学方向赵思思同学当选为主席，2011级王芳同学当选为副主席。
2012年，川外学坛共举办学术活动27场，其中，“学子之星”学术论坛10场，“学术大视野”教师讲堂9场，学坛特别学术活动8场；共传递学术箴言36条，张贴海报120余张，撰写文字材料30余万字，录音约810兆，拍摄照片1028张。有3位同学分别获得年度“最佳主讲表现奖”、“最佳ppt展示奖”、“最佳学术创新奖”。研究生部主任王仁强教授、外国语语文研究中心主任杨全红教授以及研究生语言学方向负责人侯国金教授分别为获奖同学颁奖。同时，胡安江教授、李龙泉教授、晏红博士、姜小卫博士、刘宇博士等为上一届川外学坛主席、各部部长颁发了荣誉证书，感谢他们一年来为川外学坛发展所做出的努力和贡献。
王仁强教授、杨全红教授、胡安江教授、侯国金教授等应邀做指导性发言。在发言中，他们充分肯定川外学坛过去一年所做的大量扎实而勤奋的工作，积极评价所开展的一些十分有创意的活动，比如“‘学子之星’学术讨论”、“‘学术大视野’讲师讲堂”、“学术箴言传播”、“优秀学术活动评奖”、“学坛招新”等。对于川外学坛下一年的工作，他们也语重心长地提出了许多十分中肯意见和建议。晏红博士、陈丽萍教授、刘宇博士等也表达了对学坛工作的支持和鼓励，同时也为学坛来年的发展提出了许多宝贵的建议。
最后，姜孟教授对茶话会做了总结，他表达了对一年来关心、指导、支持川外学坛的各位学校领导、各职能部门领导、各位专家学者以及老师、同学们的深深感谢之情，并表示2013年学坛一定会奋蹄扬足，再展牛劲，把工作做得更上一层楼。
本次活动在热烈、亲切、随意的气氛中进行，大家场所欲言，衷心交流，真诚地建言献策。一方面总结川外学坛过去一年令人自豪的成绩，另一方面也放眼未来，以永不知足的历史责任感，为把川外学坛打造成一个“运作规范，内蕴深厚，凝聚力强，辐射面宽，特色鲜明”的研究生创新教育论坛而聚智凝心，集思广益。

2012 sisu academic forum annual sum-up talk
held successfully
at 3 pm, jan 3rd, 2013, sisu academic forum began its 2012 yearly sum-up talk, which aims to summarize the work done in 2012 and to work out new plans for 2013, and also to produce a new membership of the sisu academic forum organization. there were totally 11 teachers attending the meeting, including professor wang renqiang, professor yang quanhong, professor hu an jiang, professor hou guojin, professor liu yumei, professor chen liping and so on.
postgraduate students xiao jia and zheng san hosted the meeting and they introduced that there were five items on the agenda, summary of the work done in 2012, commendation of academically outstanding students, election of new student organization, planning for 2013 and suggestions from the present professors.
first, president zhang jing of the academic forum made a summary of the work done in past year. she mentioned that in 2012 we held 27 academic presentations, composed of 10 presentations from students, 9 from teachers and 8 special activities. then, president zhang made a brief introduction of the organization of the academic forum, that is, how the departments of the forum divided the work and collaborated. next, she specifically mentioned the newly launched activity, introducing maxims. in 2012, 2 per each presentation, we introduced 36 maxims, which were all about how to pursue one’s study or how to be a better man, which profited students a lot. then, zhang jing reported the situation of recruitment. finally, she introduced how the new star of academics selection activity was conducted, including the prizes, the selection system, selection criteria and the winners. after her summary, students in charge of each department made their respective summary.
after the summary reports, we began to award those winners selected from new star of academics activity. peng jun was awarded the best performace prize, and chen zeng won two prizes, the best ppt presentation and the best academic creativity.
next, zhang jing introduced the election system and principle of the new student organization and announced the election results. zhao sisi was proclaimed president and she made her inauguration speech. the other newly-elected department heads delivered their speeches as well. they all expressed their gratefulness for being trusted and their determination to spare no efforts to make contributions to the academic forum.
then, the newly-elected president zhao sisi introduced the plans for 2013. she stated that the first five topics of next semester were already set. in the following part, she made a detailed presentation in terms of three aspects, the regular work, the new academic activity plans and the internal forum construction work.
the last item on agenda was to invite the present guests to make some suggestions to our academic forum. all the teachers including professor wang renqiang, professor yang quanhong, professor hu anjiang and professor hou guojin gave their precious and practical advices concerning every aspect of the construction of our academic forum, and declared their support for the work of the forum.
at last, professor jiang meng, in charge of the sisu academic forum, made concluding remarks. he first expressed his heartefelt thanks to the present teachers for their constant support and precious advices, and expressed new determination to push forward the development of the academic forum, in an effort to provide postgraduates a more effective platform for academic communication.
with thunderous applause the meeting came to an end, signifying the completion of the work in 2012 and beginning of 2013. all the present teachers and students had a group photo taken to mark the occasion.
