2014年10月23日晚，川外学坛教师讲堂在宏文楼阶梯教室2-2如期举行。本次讨论的主题为“从媒体翻译看译者的态度定位”，主讲人是澳门大学博士生导师张美芳教授。讲座由廖七一教授主持，杨全红教授、胡安江教授及广大硕士、博士研究生参加。
首先，廖七一教授对张美芳教授的到来表示了热烈欢迎，并对张教授的学术背景和丰硕的科研成果进行了简要介绍。
随后，张美芳教授开始做主题报告。张教授通过总结我国传统译论，指出其关注的焦点乃原文和译文，从而引出本次报告的主题——媒体翻译研究。张教授先从广义和狭义的角度对“媒体翻译”进行定义，并指出此次讲座的探讨对象是媒体翻译中的新闻翻译。之后，张教授以系统功能语言学中的评价理论中所描述的评价资源三大次系统（态度、级差和介入）为基础，对近几年国际新闻中某些热点事件的报道及其不同的译本进行了评述，并指出读者可以通过对译文来感知语言使用者对事态的立场、观点和态度。最后，基于对不同译本的分析，张教授重点强调了为适应目标语境，编译者应在协调新闻翻译的过程中考虑各种因素,诸如：读者注意、社会价值观、新闻机构的立场及其社会因素等。
最后是自由讨论。一名来自翻译学院的研究生就如何翻译新闻中的四字成语这一问题与张教授进行了深入探讨。张教授以其严谨的学术态度和幽默风趣的讲座风格紧紧地吸引着在场的每一位听众，其充实而又紧扣学术前沿的讲解，让在场的每一位老师和同学都获益匪浅。
本次学坛活动在全体参与人员的热烈掌声中圆满结束。

sisu academic forum on “investigating the translators’ attitudinal positioning in media translation”held
at 7:30 pm, nov. 23th, 2014, sisu academic forum was conducted as scheduled. the forum took the form of an academic lecture entitled investigating the translators’ attitudinal positioning in media translation by professor zhang meifang from university of macau. the lecture was hosted by professor liao qiyi and attended by professors yang quanhong, hu anjiang and quite a lot of postgraduates.
to begin with, professor liao qiyi extended his warm welcome to professor zhang meifang. then he gave a brief introduction to the fruitful research results of professor zhang.
prof. zhang got her lecture started by introducing the key term of the lecture “media translation”. she referred to the focus of the traditional chinese translation thoughts, saying that they invariably paid attention to either source text or target text. prof zhang then defined media translation in its narrow and broad senses and made it clear that she would dwell on news translation. after that, based on the three appraisal resources—attitude, graduation and engagement which are described in the theory of appraisal system in systematic-functional grammar, prof. zhang analyzed some major news reports and their corresponding translations and made the audience aware that they can evaluate the language users’ standpoint, opinion and attitude by analyzing their language in translation. besides, based on the analyses of different versions of the same original, professor zhang emphasized that in the process of news translation the translators have to take many things into consideration for the purpose of adapting to the target context, to name a few, readers’ attention, social values, the stance of those news agencies and the social influence. in the whole process of the lecture, prof. zhang attracted every listener’s attention with her meticulous academic attitude and humorous character.
