2013年9月12日晚上7:00，川外学坛“学术大视野”教师讲堂在博文楼六楼报告厅举办本学期第一次开坛讲座。本次学坛的主题是“文本分析与英美诗歌赏析”，主讲人是重庆师范大学外语学院院长吴显友教授，由姜孟教授主持，侯国金教授和全体研究生同学以及部分研一新生也参加了本次学坛。
首先，按照学坛惯例，2012级谭琳同学和我们一起分享了她精心挑选的两条学坛箴言：“书卷多情似故人，晨昏忧乐每相亲。眼前直下三千字，胸次全无一点尘。——于谦《观书》”、“a life spent making mistakes is not only more honorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing。经过她的讲解，同学们都备受启发。
学坛箴言活动之后，吴显友教授正式开始本次讲座。本次讲座总共分为五个部分，首先吴教授提到诗歌语言的五美——音韵美、形式美、意象美、修辞美、译文美；第二部分，在讲解了文体学的定义后，吴教授提到英国文体学家肖特提出的文体分析的三步曲：描写、阐释与评价，并给出具体的文本进行分析，细致而富有趣味；第三、四部分着重依据具体的诗歌实例来帮我们体会诗歌语言的音韵美和修辞美，效果很不错；最后，吴教授总结说，文体学是一门实用性很强的学科，在外语教学中具有广阔的应用前景。短短一个多小时，可是带给我们的却是营养丰富、趣味十足的学术盛宴。
在此之后，姜孟教授做了简短点评，引导大家回味了吴教授讲座的精彩点。侯国金教授和吴教授作了精彩的“学术对话”，侯国金教授还补充说，这场讲座让他对英美诗歌鉴赏愈加感兴趣。讲座最后，在姜教授的引导下，同学们纷纷提出了讲座中的疑问点、兴趣点，对此，三位教授都给出了充分的解释与说明。
讲座虽只有短短两个小时，但让大家在文学与语言学的知识海洋里尽情的遨游，汲取知识，增长见识，收获颇多。

sisu academic forum on “text analysis and poetry appreciation” held successfully
7 p.m, september 12th saw the first sisu academic forum in this semester chaired by professor jiang meng. the report entitled “text analysis and english poetry appreciation” was given by professor wu xianyou, president of foreign language institute of chongqing normal university. professor hou guojin and lots of graduate students were also present in this report.
as usual, two mottos were shared with the audience by tan lin from class one, which benefited the audience greatly.
then professor wu began his report consisting of five parts. the first part touched the beauties of poetry language, that is, the beauty of rhythm, the beauty of form, the beauty of image, the beauty of rhetoric, and the beauty of interpretation. the second part was concerned with the definition of the stylistics and professor wu also introduced three steps to analyze the text, description→interpretation→evaluation. specifically interesting poems were given to illustrate. the third and fourth part focused on the beauties of rhythm and rhetoric with some examples, which really gave us a good taste of the two beauties of the poetry. at last, professor wu concluded that stylistics, a quite practical subject, can be broadly applied to the teaching field.
the report turned out to be a fruitful one, which was beneficial to all the students. professor jiang spoke highly of the report. then professor hou and wu exchanged their view on certain points and professor hou added that this report made him more interested in the poetry appreciation. in the end of the report, under the encouragement of professor jiang, some students aired their doubt and questions one by one. as for the questions, the three professors all shared their view with each other. in one word, the report turned out a great success with the applause of the students.
